Can’t touch this.

In 6 days time I shall be 21. In just over 3 weeks I will have finished University. Both of these facts scare me greatly. I am currently scouring all sorts of websites desperately looking for a job from may until september. This is five months worth of work, not like I need it for just a few weeks, so I am thinking that I may have to go to the job centre. I hate the way so many job descriptions say “experience is essential” even for jibs such as office assistants. I find it stupid that I would most probably be more than capable of carrying out the work but because I don’t have previous experience would be unlikely to get an interview if it were based solely on my CV. How are you meant to get a job when nobody will give you the experience in the first place, it’s the same for bar-work too. I wouldn’t particularly enjoy watching everyone around me getting completely tit-faced whilst I had to stay sober but I can think of jobs I would enjoy even less.
I am also currently researching different things to join in with when I move to Shifnal permanently. Whilst the tea dance club does look inviting I fear I may perhaps not be old enough to join in. I have however found a thai boxing club in telford which I shall look into more. There is apparently an amnesty group but I’m not sure of how active they actually are, I may join the group in Wolverhampton instead, they meet one Sunday of every month, they may be more active seeing as it is in a city.

This week is going to be the longest single period of time I have spent at my Stourbridge home since September. It is quite strange. We no longer throw can away, even egg shells are now put in the compost. There are so many new things that I am actually feeling a little confused. I havn’t unpacked my bag yet, I shall at some point I guess.
